Telehealth
Therapy where you already are.
Atlas Minds works entirely by telehealth. There is no office, and every session happens online while you are physically in Texas or Florida. This page walks through the process in order, from a first message to an ordinary session.

Step One
Reaching out
There are two ways to start. You can send a short inquiry through the form on Work With Me, or use one of the buttons to book a free consultation, which opens a scheduling page in a new tab so you can pick a time yourself.
A first message does not need your history. A sentence about what you are looking for, whether it is individual or relationship therapy, and where you will be located is plenty. Leave sensitive clinical details out of the form; they can wait for a conversation. For relationship therapy, one person can send the first message for everyone involved.
Step Two
The free consultation
The consultation is free, lasts 15 minutes, and happens by phone or video. It is a practical conversation: what brings you in, whether individual or relationship therapy makes more sense, whether your location works, what sessions cost, and whether Nick's direct style feels like a fit.
It is not a therapy session, an assessment, or emergency care, and nothing is decided for you in it. Skeptical questions are welcome. So is saying you want time to think before scheduling anything. If the format, the fees, or the location rule will not work for you, it is better to learn that in 15 minutes than in a first session.
Step Three
Before your first session
If you decide to go ahead, the next step is scheduling a first full session. Individual therapy is 50 minutes at $175. Couples and relationship therapy is 50 minutes at $200. Atlas Minds is private pay, which means you pay the practice directly rather than billing an insurer.
Every private-pay client receives a written Good Faith Estimate, and the Good Faith Estimate page explains your right to one. If you plan to seek out-of-network reimbursement, superbills are available on request, though reimbursement depends on your plan. The cancellation policy is listed on Rates.
Every Session
What each session needs
Each session needs three things: a private place where you can talk without holding back, a device that can run the session, and an internet connection steady enough for live conversation. Nobody is grading the room. It just has to let you talk without being overheard or interrupted.
You also need to be physically in Texas or Florida for each session, because those are the two states where Nick is licensed. The rule follows where you are that day rather than where you live, and it applies to every participating partner. If travel will take anyone outside both states, mention it before the appointment.
Joining Together
Partners in one room or several
Partners can join from the same private room or from separate private spaces, and a relationship session can include more than two people. What matters is that each person can speak freely and that everyone is physically in Texas or Florida at the time.
Sharing a room can feel natural to some partners and constraining to others, particularly when a conversation is difficult. It is worth settling the setup ahead of time and making sure nobody is listening in from the other side of a wall.
When Tech Fails
If the connection drops
Screens freeze and calls drop, and that is not anyone's failure. Because no setup is perfect, it is worth asking early on what happens if a connection fails partway through, so nobody has to improvise in the middle of a hard moment. If your connection at home is unreliable, test it at the time of day your sessions would happen, before the first one.

Scope of Care
What telehealth here is not
Atlas Minds provides therapy. It does not offer medication management, detox, or medical care, and it is not emergency care. Sessions are scheduled appointments rather than a way to reach someone urgently. If you are unsure whether outpatient therapy is the right level of support for what you are facing, that is a fair question to bring to the consultation.
Not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For 24/7 support, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
Other practical questions, from fees to location, are answered in the FAQ.
